Flow Giftcard Platform launches
Super simple and flexible
Flow Giftcard is designed as a super-simple yet highly flexible gift card service, optimized for retail chains with anywhere from two to several hundred stores.
The service is built as a fully standalone microservice but is 100% integrated with both Flow Retail and Shopware — for both purchasing and redeeming gift cards.
The structure starts with an issuer, who can define one or more gift card “brands,” such as “Center Gift Card,” “VIP Gift Card,” or simply “Gift Card” if only one type is needed (which is most common).
Each gift card brand can be linked to specific merchants — either physical stores using Flow Retail or Shopware-based webshops. This gives you full control over which stores can sell and redeem which gift cards.
All transaction data for both issuing and redeeming gift cards is made available for accounting and reporting, giving you complete control over outstanding balances. You can also define the card validity period, with a standard duration of 3 years.

Unlike many other providers, Flow Giftcard does not interfere with the money flow. When a customer buys a gift card, the funds go directly to the merchant using the customer’s chosen payment method.
100% integrated with Flow Retail and Shopware
Flow Giftcard is built as a fully standalone microservice, meaning it can be used on its own, or directly integrated with Flow Retail POS or Shopware eCommerce. You’re free to use it however you want — but you’ll get the most value when combining it with our fully integrated retail ecosystem.
As an open service, Flow Giftcard comes with a complete API layer, making it easy for anyone to build custom integrations.
Naturally, Flow Giftcard is already fully integrated with Flow Retail — allowing staff to both issue and redeem gift cards in-store, either as a standalone payment or in combination with other payment methods. Multiple gift cards can also be used in a single transaction.
The same applies to Shopware: you can easily sell and redeem gift cards through your webshop, just like in-store.
